Our Organisation

Present in over 180 countries, The Art of Living is a non profit, educational, and humanitarian organization founded in 1981 by the world-renowned humanitarian and spiritual teacher – Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The organization works towards nurturing inner wellbeing, emotional balance, and a more compassionate society through practical tools for everyday life. As Gurudev often says, “When the mind is calm, happiness comes naturally.”

The Art of Living community is warm, inclusive, and diverse, bringing together people from all walks of life. United by a shared intention to live with greater awareness and harmony, the community offers a sense of belonging while encouraging personal growth and positive action in the world.

Siliguri Ashram

This ashram is an inclusive spiritual space where people of all faiths and ideologies are welcome. As a residential ashram, it also offers comfortable accommodation for Art of Living courses and retreats. Vedic pujas and homas such as Rudra Puja, Devi Puja, and Ayushya Homa take place regularly. A beautiful mandir within the campus supports daily prayer and special ceremonies.

Weekly satsangs and Sunday follow-up sessions take place in the serene meditation hall. Many families choose to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries here through sacred rituals. Soon, the ashram will also host Vedic weddings.

The world-class Panchakarma centre provides authentic Ayurvedic therapies for deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and healing.

The foundation of the ashram was laid on 23rd February, 2009, and it was inaugurated by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on 17th December, 2017, with a vision rooted in community development and self-development.
